Within the first few hours after a hair transplant, very small scabs will begin to form on your scalp. This is an indication of healing. It’s very important not to pick at these, as picking the scabs increases the risk of infection. The scabs will fall off on their own within two weeks. Your scabs will still be visible, but if you’re ready, you may return to sedentary work within 1-2 days of your procedure.
Wait for at least one day before you wash your scalp. Don’t wear hats or anything over your head for several days. Wait for at least two weeks before you engage in any strenuous activity.
