Education & Training
Dr. Jerome Liu realized he was passionate about surgery at an incredibly young age. In fact, he was amongst a handful of high school students to receive guaranteed admission to a medical school under Brown University’s medical education program. Following Brown University, Dr. Liu sharpened his skills, nurtured his passion, and continued his winning streak by graduating with the highest honors from the reputable UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, acquiring a coveted membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.
The UCLA Medical Center is widely considered one of the best medical centers for plastic surgery training, frequently featured as the “Best in the West” selection by US News and World Reports. Dr. Liu didn’t merely complete his general surgery and plastic surgery training at this reputable medical center, but he was the recipient of numerous research and teaching awards. Soon after his success at UCLA, Dr. Liu was granted a National Research Service Award from a branch of the National Institutes of Health and Veterans Administration, allowing him to acquire a master's degree in health services research.
Following the UCLA Plastic Surgery Fellowship, the renowned University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center and Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute (DPSI) offered him a prestigious position as an Assistant Instructor and Aesthetic Fellow, one of the country’s most valued fellowship programs for aesthetic plastic surgery. His fellowship program got him in touch with some of the leading experts in the field of aesthetic plastic surgery, from whom he learned the latest techniques in facelifts, body contouring, and other surgical procedures.
