What is BOTOX® Cosmetic?
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple, nonsurgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people from 18 to 65 years of age. It is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The procedure typically takes 10 minutes and does not require any recovery time. Results vary depending on individual presentation, but typically last up to 4 month. At Bay Area Aesthetic Surgery, all Botox® Cosmetic treatments are administered by Dr. Beck.
Fillers
Artefill®
ArteFill® is the first FDA-approved, non-resorbable aesthetic injectable implant for the correction of facial wrinkles known as nasolabial folds, or smile lines. ArteFill® consists of a proprietary combination of ArteFill® Precision-Filtered Microspheres™ suspended in a carrier gel containing highly purified bovine collagen with 0.3 percent lidocaine for patient comfort during injection. Restylane® and Perlane
Since 1996, physicians outside the U.S. have used these agents to enhance the appearance and fullness of lips, to contour and restore volume to the skin, and to temporarily eliminate wrinkles and facial folds. These non-animal, biotechnology-produced, crystal-clear, biodegradable gels are hyaluronic acid substances normally found in the skin. Juvederm™

Radiesse™ is a long-term, non-surgical filler agent that lasts for approximately 18 months. Most patients use Radiesse™ to reduce the nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Radiesse™ is made from calcium hydroxylapatite, a constituent of tooth and bone, and is formulated into microspheres suspended in an aqueous polysaccharide gel which has been FDA approved for soft tissue augmentation and other medical uses.
