A graduate of Stanford and Columbia / Cornell Universities, Dr. Vishal Banthia specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and neck. After completing his medical education at the University of California-San Francisco, Dr. Banthia continued his training with an internship in General Surgery and with a residency in head and neck surgery at New York-Presbyterian, the University Hospitals of Columbia and Cornell. He further specialized with a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Stanford University Medical Center. His credentials include specialty training in the surgical approaches to address facial aging as well as congenital and acquired facial deformities.

Recognizing that today’s busy society demands minimal-to-no downtime and having tremendous experience in a wide variety of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures performed without the need for general anesthesia, Dr. Banthia has mastered minimally invasive facial rejuvenation. Dr. Banthia has authored several chapters and journal articles on a variety of topics including minimally invasive medical devices and lasers used for collagen rebuilding and tissue tightening. In addition, he has lectured nationally and internationally on a variety of facial plastics and reconstructive topics. He has been recognized as a “Top Doc” in Silicon Valley and has been awarded a Humanitarian Grant by the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery for reconstructive work on children with cleft lip/palate and microtia deformities in Honduras.
